I'm writing this for all of those people who are making that scary jump from working for a boss to becoming your own boss. The choice to do this is a critical one and I want to give some advice that I was given when I made this same choice. This article is to encourage all those like-minded individuals to get out there and go for it all.

1. Taking a few to the chin - FALIURE

This is the most common topic related to business start-ups in the mind of the first time entrepreneur. The thought should be if you are not ready to take this risk you will never be ready to become an entrepreneur. I say this because you have to be a risk taker and without this you don't have what it takes. I say this in this way so you know that being a risk taker is what most all entrepreneurs are known for and if this is the reason you didn't take that jump yesterday than this will be the reason it doesn't happen tomorrow either.

2. The company life line - Your wallet

Always look for ways to keep forward on your business plan but learning how to do business under budget with same goals. Accounting for every dime and penny is an issue that will bring the business down all by itself so good procedure on this is very critical. Do business spending as a reflection of you the entrepreneur does in keeping a good running business.

3. Happens once and never again - Mistakes

Mistakes can come at any time and knowing how to deal with mistakes can cause you to succeed or fail. Being unable to bounce back from a slip up can sometimes cost you time and money and these are the two valuable things to an entrepreneur. Take note of each occurrence and collect info because this is a critical time to learn. If possible ask questions about the issue and do research about the topic.

4. Original plans - Stay on track.

There are opportunities everywhere in the mind set of a first time entrepreneur who has taken that leap and is ready for more but what about that business plan. Try not to have your hands in too many things this could cause you to let your eyes off something critical about your original business plan. Stay looking forward and remember there will always be opportunities.

5. People skills - Develop them

I'm going to call this one step right here the bread and butter to your success and long time goals. If you know how to talk to people in a way that puts them at ease with you this is stealth. Have you ever heard the saying "It's not what you know it's who you know". Good skills in speaking and relating to others can have you with good mentoring which can be a step above rest. Also knowing other entrepreneurs can keep you in the circle of things going on in your business area and others and updates on what's new going on.
