What is the name of fringed leather flap on traditional golf shoes?
There is a specific term to describe this hand-sized detachable leather flap that attaches on top of golf shoes with same laces that close the shoe. The original purpose of flap was probably to protect shoes at lace opening. Now, it's used more as a classic touch on saddle shoes, whether for golf or street "school girl" shoes. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT FLAP IS CALLED???
I looked around, storm flap seems to be an option. Also called a tongue but not a common reference.

Don't buy them online where you don't get any kind of trial and shoes that suit your partner best, may not suit you all that well.
1. Make sure your shoes are waterproof, so that they can be used in bad weather countries as well.
2. Do not prefer cheap golf shoes as they are not very durable.
3. Go in for lightweight shoes.
4. Choose the right spike for your golf shoe to have the best grip on the course.
To enjoy a good game of golf, you should not only be aware of the golf clubs, and golf ball but the foremost important thing that you have to be aware of, is the right pair of comfortable golf shoes. When you need to move around on a wide landscape during your game, it would be better if you have the right pair of golf shoes .
