I grew up with golf. My father played early Saturday mornings, returning home by lunchtime for an afternoon with the family. One of my fondest childhood memories is of watching golf tournaments on television with my parents and my brothers, with the announcer whispering so his voice wouldn't carry and disturb the players. At those moments, the game of golf was everything to us.

As a child I knew the names of the different clubs, but I didn't know about all the different brands and types.
