ping eye 2 + irons. what type of grooves do they have and what is the difference of the 2 and the 2+?
i came across an old set of ping eye 2 irons with a + on the head they are black dot and quite worn and i would like to try and sharpen the groves, but not sure what type of groves they have , and what dose the + sign indicate on the head, if anything. thanks in advance for any info provided.
The Eye 2's came out in about 1982 The Eye 2 + was 1990. If memory serves me Ping had a dispute with the USGA on the Eye 2's in about 1988 because of square grooves. Because Ping ultimately won that dispute I believe all Ping Irons have had Square grooves since the Eye 2's first came out.....I could be wrong on that....but you are relying on an old mans memory lol
So you want to learn how to apply perfume? It is really quite simple. Less is more.
1) Start with a high quality fragrance. If you can get the actual perfume instead of the eau de toilette, all the better.
What is the difference? Pure perfume has a more concentrated scent because it uses the actual oils. Eau de toilette has a much higher alcohol content so the scent is diluted.
2) Apply it sparingly.
If you are able to get the pure product dab just a dot of it behind each wrist, a drop between your cleavage, a drop behind each knee and a drop behind each ear. If you are using a spray then untwist the top and use the plastic applicator to do the exact same thing.
3) Wait before going out.
You need to let the application settle. Wait at least twenty minutes before leaving the house. There is nothing worse than being "that" person in the elevator who assaults the rest of the riders with an overdone odor . You want your fragrance to become a part of you. You should leave them wondering what that subtle aroma is not having them holding their breath until you are gone.
If you apply your perfume properly, it should last for most of the day. You can reapply later in the day, if need be but if the perfume is a high enough quality you may not have to do this.
You will often see eau de toilette packages where you get the perfume scented bath oils, moisturizer and perfume. The idea is to layer your scent. I find that this is often overkill. Again you are going for subtlety. If you are using the bath gel and body lotion skip the perfume or vice versa. My preference is that if you are going to put on your perfume, you should pick a neutral scented bath product and lotion.
And when you are applying your deodorant, pick one that is unscented. You do not want the smell of the deodorant to clash with your carefully applied fragrance.
Applying perfume is a delicate matter. You are striving for balance and to leave an impression on those around you. You want this distinctive aroma to linger in their memories. You want it associated with you and you alone. Fortunately, each one of our body chemistries is different so the exact same fragrance will never smell exactly the same on any two people.
Hopefully this article has answered your question of how to apply perfume perfectly.
