What would my golf swing speed be?
Hi, I haven't been to a swing launch monitor and I don't really feel like shelling out $50 to do it. I was just curious though what my swing speed estimate would be. Right now I have a Callaway Big Bertha 460 driver with a regular Aldila shaft. I have been carrying it about 250 on average. If you could give me a reasonable estimate on what my swing speed is that would be great.
That first guy is wrong. Tiger, Phil etc swing around 120-125 mph. I hit it 280-290 and my swing speed is about 110 mph. Your's is probably around 100. You might want to look into getting a stiff shaft. Anyone who hits it around 250 should have one...but then again, if you hit it straight, dont worry about it.
I recently went out and purchased a new Cobra F Speed Driver. Below is my review of the driver for anyone who is interested in purchasing one.
My initial impressions
The Cobra F Speed Driver looks absolutely amazing. It is very large in size (almost double the size of my old driver), which obviously contributes a lot to the extra distance. Again, appearance wise, it looks really nice. To some it may somewhat looks like a standard King Cobra upon first glance, but there's something to the Cobra F Speed Driver that makes it different. I don't know for the life of me what it is, but you can definately tell that Cobra F Speed Driver is better than other drivers.
When I purchased my Cobra F Speed Driver, it came with a regular flex Aldila NV-F shaft. Yeah, it's green, but it still looks the great. Not to mention, if you can hit the ball really far and straight, who really cares about the color of the shaft? Not me!
The grip on the Cobra F Speed Driver is really nice as well. For me, it is just the right size. On my old driver, I had been using a grip that was too big, making it difficult to grip properly. This one feels really good, however. That being said, I'm not sure how good it will be if it gets wet, but still... I won't be playing in the rain. Also. It has two circles on the front, to show where your thimbs should be positioned. This really helps, as I sometimes find myself gripping too loosely.
The Cobra F Speed Driver has the "9 Point Clubface", which also optimizes mis-hits. I find this really good, as sometimes, I stand too close to the ball and find myself hitting out of the heel a bit.
Overall, the Cobra F Speed Driver is a very good driver and is definitely recommended.
