Will I be able to use a digital hybrid phone on a regular phone line?
I noticed that the digital hybrid phone that I got has four conductors as opposed to two that is used on home phone systems. I have been trying to make this work. Do I need some sort of converter to be able to use this phone and do I have to subscribe to bell on a four line phone system? This phone is a panasonic phone KX-T7667. This is the phone with the intercom, transfer etc.
You will need the proprietary TDA Switchboard unit for this business phone. Buy the appropriate one determined by how many phone lines you are going to be using at your place of business.
The phone will not work without a main unit.

And yes, a regular phone line will go into the main distribution box which will have a phone line coming out to each of your other phones. The box holds the "music on hold", "intercom" and various other features of your business system". There will be one main phone on your system that is used for all of the programming. You may have a number of phone lines going into the main. The main will be responsible for switching from one line to the other. This is a proprietary phone system.
There is regular 4 line phone cord that is available in the same configuration as other phone cords and boxes. You will have to rewire each of you junction boxes with the 4 wire cords and boxes... In essence, 2 wire lines go into the main unit, 4 wire lines come out to each phone.
