I have a 94 mustang with 110k miles, can I use synthetic high mileage oil or do i risk causing leaks?

Synthetic oil is for vehicles over 75,000 miles. Your Mustang fits in this category so I recommend it. Synthetic oil does not cause leaks or any sort of damage to an engine. I don't know who told you that but they definitely don't have a clue what theyre talking about.
