Vintage Road Bike Help?

I found an old road bike in the dumpster the other day and the brand doesn't seem familiar. The emblem on the front says " TOUR DU MONDE" and under it " FILZ or FILS" one of those. I've googled it, ask around, but nobody seems to know what brand it is. Anybody have any idea?

tour du monde means something like world turns, and fils means son. im not sure what kind it is, but im pretty sure its french. also i found this on craigslist http://sacramento.craigslist.org/bik/869150890.html
