Which is better- handscraped or regular wood?
We are putting wood on the floors of our house and we were considering putting handscraped wood (where the wood looks sort of antique and ripply and usually glossy). Do you think this would be a good choice? or would this go out of fashion soon?
THIS wood will last us 30 YEARS!! lifetime commitment!!
If you have a country look about the whole house/ setting it s a personal choice..Both will look good for years to come.One note is..If you want to change looks a bit a regular wood floor will be easier to work around..Some will say the handscraped look ,because of the "bumpiness" , will be hard to clean I say no.. Both floors need to be swept and properly maintained , it ll be the same w/ the hand scraped..GL

If you have a home where some or all of the heat comes from your fireplace or wood stove, you may want to consider investing the money in a conversion or improvement to get the most out of your fuel.
