Hamstring stretches and exercise are the best way for loosening up the tight hamstrings of our body. These tight hamstrings are basically found due to the heavy stress of our workload or any other work in our routine day to day life. Hamstring is a muscle which starts from exactly under the knee above into the buttocks.

With so many different type of stretches or exercises you can do for sciatica, it is hard to pick out which will relieve the pain and ones that will not. Not all stretches will help your condition the same way it helps another. It is important that you understand the basic types of stretches first before going into the specifics.

One of the easiest, powerful and effective stretching exercises that you can do at home is the hamstring stretch exercise. This training increases your leg flexibility and will help in the running exercises because it will make you run the same distance in shorter time. The total amount time required for this training is ten minutes where you should do ten reps for each leg and each rep should takes 30 seconds.

Some of the most common stretching exercises that you can find at Google and in video at Youtube.com are: Quadriceps Stretch basic to lift your needs and increasing speed, Hamstring Stretch, Piriformis Stretch, Gastroc/Calf Stretch doing by runners before races, less known Soleus/Calf Stretch, Chest Stretch, Biceps Stretch, Triceps Stretch, Neck Stretch.

Shoulder stretching exercises for back pain can help as well and you start in the same position as the neck stretches. With your head leaned forward you roll your shoulders slowly, first starting with small circles and then graduated to full circles. Next, you reverse the direction of the rolls, as these stretching exercises for back pain will work a different part of the muscles.

Hamstring Stretch - This movement is quite well-known. It can be done by sitting down on a bench with you legs rested on it in a parallel level. If there is no bench, you can sit on a chair while placing another chair in front of you. Place one of your legs on that chair and stretch forward while keeping your back straight.

Stretching the back can minimize back pain. When you stretch the back, you promote healthy joints, muscles, bones, connective tissues, and so on. Stretch exercises are the action of expanding the muscles, which straightens them. Various types of stretch workouts recline and rest the back.

Chair Hamstring Stretch: You can perform this exercise by seating in the edge of a chair. You should keep your heels in floor and your knees should be straight. Try to reach towards your toes or bring your torsos towards your legs.

Arm Stretch (works on: obliques, back)

Open feet a little more than shoulder width apart. Bend forward slightly from the waist, you want to have the same angle as in your golf swing. Now extend left arm to front, right arm to rear. Hold and keep extending for the count of ten and repeat three times. Switch arms do another three sets.

Lower back knee lifts - Making sure the lower back is flexible and ready for movement can have a big impact on game. To properly stretch it out, basic knee lifts can work well with other golf stretches. This involves nothing more than getting on the ground, face up and then gently pulling one knee up toward the chest for a 10 count and then switching sides.

Ball position is one of the fundamental aspects of iron play. Placing the ball in the incorrect position can have severe consequences on the outcome of your shots and therefore this is a very important aspect when addressing the ball that you have to get right.

Now the basic rule for ball positioning in your iron play is that the shorter clubs should be played from the center of your stance and the longer clubs further forward in your stance.

So if you have a shot that requires a pitching or sand wedge, the ball should be placed in the center of your stance and a lot closer to your body than it would be if you were hitting a three iron.

For a five iron, the ball should be placed one ball's width in front of center and further away from your body than for a wedge.

Consequently for a three iron the ball should be placed just inside your left heel.

Now the reason for the different ball positions is too change the angle of approach of the club head to the ball so that the optimum angle is utilised when hitting the ball.

Therefore when hitting the ball with a wedge the center position of the ball forces you to have a steep angle of approach on the ball. This helps the ball get up faster and higher in the air and imparts more backspin on the ball.

With the ball position on the inside of your left heel with the longer irons your swing path will be more shallow helping you to hit the ball further and straighter.

This is one of the keys to solid iron play. I hope this helps.

Mizuno golf wedges have always been incredibly popular with amateurs and professionals alike. The current batch of wedges are divided into 3 groups-

Group 1-MP T Series

The T-Series look has a straighter leading edge than the R-Series - an alignment aid favoured by many professionals. The grooves are precision milled rather than forged for the most bite or spin allowed within the rules.

The "T" stands for "Teardrop" and the sole is based around the feedback from Mizuno tour players to give you maximum feel and touch around the greens and they come in standard or custom fitted shafts.

Mizuno consider them to be suitable for low to medium high handicappers. They also come in Black Nickel, which is more expensive than the standard mild carbon steel.

Group 2-MP R Series

The "R" in this series stands for "Rounded" as this wedge has a more rounded design which allows for greater range of shot making and working the ball. Like the T series they can be obtained in either mild carbon steel or black nickel and a black nickel plating or finish ensures some protection against rust and is softer than traditional chrome.

The loft of these wedges ranges from 52 degrees up to 60 degrees and you can have custom fitted or standard shafts with a huge range of lie angles.

Group 3-MX Series

The difference with this group is that these are said to be suitable for all handicaps whilst the T and R series are suitable for low to mid handicaps.

These wedges are cavity backed, unlike the other 2 groups, and are incredibly to use. To assist this Mizuno have employed what they call a "Y" technology which they claim increases the sweet spot to allow for mishits, particularly high into the toe area which is a common mishit spot for most amateurs.

They also use a "Power Bar" and a "Cavity Pad" which helps with playability without sacrificing feel and control.

If youÂ’d rather punish your backside instead of your feet, the Nanyuki River Camel Camp (off C76 Hwy) offers great half/full-day journeys for US$16/20. And if punishment is not in your dictionary, how about a day of the high life out at Mt Kenya Safari Club (temporary membership Ksh 495)

In town there is no shortage of budget or mid-range options, while the only swank option, Mt. Kenya Safari Club is 1 km away.

Budget Accommodation hotels in Nanyuki around Mt Kenya

Nanyuki River camel (off C76 Hwy; camping US$6, half board huts with shared bathroom US$22) the only camping near Nanyuki is at this fabulous place 4 km out of town. The firewood is free and there are decent facilities. The woven huts are modeled on a traditional Somalia- nomadic village and they are highly authentic- Spending the night in one is an experience indeed. The food is excellent and the 200 camels are available.

Kenya Paradise Hotel ( off Kenyatta Avenue; stw Ksh 400600) formerly the Nanyuki Riverside Hotel, this place is a little dogged but has large clean rooms and is a good place to meet other travelers. It backs on to the Nanyuki river- grab a tent and sit on the terrace to the sounds of the birds and gurgling water. ItÂ’s best avoided on weekends due to the disco.

The Joskaki Hotel (Lumumba road; s twd Ksh 300400550) this is the best of the budget establishments. If you wonder, you may hit the Joskaki jackpot: a room with some sun and toilet seat! There is secure parking as well as a lively pub and restaurant.

Nyahururu Horizon Hostel (Lumumba road; stw Ksh 250400) a step down from Joskaki but a decent place for a nightÂ’s snooze. Expect the odd roach perusing the pavement floors.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Tour Edge Exotics EX-1 irons?

I've only hit them in the simulator at the golf store, but they are like 10-15 yards longer than most of the other irons I've tried right next to them. That's kind of crazy, so I am wondering if anyone who actually owns them out there could give me an opinion on them. If I do take the plunge, the best results for me in the sim were the stock steel Nippon shafts in a stiff flex. Thanks.

I've not hit these irons, but I have a Tour Edge hybrid (2 iron) and Tour Edge sand wedge and they are both great clubs. They are solidly built and made of first rate materials.

What's more important, the name on the club or the score on the card? Tour Edge doesn't pay pro's to endorse their product, so they can keep their prices resonable. This is quality equipment.
